Did you know your Aetna® plan offers mail-order delivery services of eligible prescription drugs through CVS Caremark® Mail Service Pharmacy?

When you order these medications by mail, you’ll spend less time traveling to the pharmacy and less time in line getting refills. Plus, ordering long-term supplies of up to 100 days of the drugs you take regularly can help ensure that you don’t run out.

Have a health question that can’t wait for your next checkup?

Call the 24/7 Nurse Line at 1-800-556-1555 (TTY: 711) to speak with a registered nurse.

When you’re ready to get started with mail order, you’ll need to register first. You can do that in three ways:

Online. On your secure member website, select "Pharmacy." Then, select the drop-down menu and choose "New Mail-Order Request" to walk through the mail-order process.

By phone. Call Member Services at 1-833-570-6670 (TTY: 711).

By mail. Complete the Mail Service Order Form (found at AetnaMedicare.com/Forms) and send it to us at the address on the form.

Question of the month

Question: “Which medications qualify for mail order or extended supplies?”

Answer: Maintenance medications. These medications are prescription drugs taken on a regular basis to treat conditions that are considered chronic or long term. They can be a great option for mail order extended day supplies because they are typically taken daily to keep symptoms under control. Maintenance medications are often prescribed to treat chronic conditions such as:

  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes

To learn if your medications qualify for mail order call Member Services at
1-833-570-6670 (TTY: 711). You can reach us between 8 AM and 8 PM, Monday through Friday.
