Roundup of 360° support

Take advantage of the many valuable benefits and resources that are part of your plan.

Taking care of your health starts with having the right support. Whether it’s finding a trusted primary care provider or simply understanding your plan benefits, you have resources designed to make things easier. Here are some of the tools, programs and services available to help you stay informed and in control of your own health care.

1. Primary care provider (PCP)

Having a strong relationship with your primary care provider (PCP) is a great foundation for managing your health. Your provider is familiar with your health history and needs. This allows them to listen to your concerns, refer you to specialists when necessary and develop a personalized care plan for you.

Don’t have a provider? Click here and enter your ZIP code to find one in your area.

It's important to find someone you’re comfortable with and who supports your health goals. Here are some things to remember when you’re searching for a provider:

  • Ask about their experience with older patients and their understanding of age-related health issues, including medication interactions.
  • Look for an office that's close to home or easy to access for appointments, and consider virtual visits or house calls if needed. Flexible scheduling and ease of contacting your provider are also important.
  • A good provider should be willing to explain complicated medical information in simple terms, making sure you or your caregivers understand.

2. 24-Hour Nurse Line

For nonemergency health care questions, you can call our 24-Hour Nurse Line and speak to a registered nurse. A nurse can help with deciding the right place for care, understanding your symptoms and managing chronic conditions.

Access the 24-Hour Nurse Line at  1-855-493-7019 (TTY: 711), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Keep in mind: Nurses can’t diagnose, prescribe medication or give medical advice. You can also find this number on your member ID card.

Have questions about your plan or benefits? Member Services can help answer. Call the Member Services number on your member ID card. Or log in to your secure member website at AetnaMedicare.com/LG and choose "Help" to get phone number, email and chat options.

4. Telehealth

Instead of heading to a provider’s office, you may be able to talk to them on your phone, tablet or computer. This makes it easier to get care from home if you’re not feeling well enough to travel. Some of the best times to use telehealth include seasonal allergies, mental health visits and medication refills. Call your provider’s office today to see if they offer telehealth visits.

Have a question but don’t feel like making a phone call? Just want to learn more about your plan? You also have resources at your fingertips that can be accessed anytime.
