1. Fitness benefit

Have you visited your plan web page?

It has details about your personal coverage and how to make the most of your plan. You can find the website on your Aetna Member ID card.

2. Covered annual exams

Staying up to date on your medical exams is important for your overall health. Aetna members have the following benefits available to them at no added cost. Make sure you schedule your visits if you haven’t already. Can’t make your in-person appointment? No problem. You can get care from the comfort of home with covered telehealth appointments.

  • Annual Wellness Visit (A yearly visit with your primary care provider that includes a personalized prevention plan and routine checks.)

  • Yearly hearing exam

  • Annual physical (A yearly exam that may include bloodwork and other important tests)

  • Yearly vision exam

  • Yearly dental exam

3. Fall prevention assessment

Falling in the home happens more than you think. That’s why your Annual Wellness Visit includes a balance assessment. This covered screening will give you a better sense of your or your family member’s fall risk.

Have a health question that can’t wait for your next checkup?

Call the 24-Hour Nurse Line at 1-855-493-7019 (TTY: 711) to speak with a registered nurse. If you need urgent or emergency care, call 911 or go to your closest emergency room.

4. Healthy home visit

We work with the experienced team at Signify Health® to get you preventive care in-home. When you set up your yearly Healthy Home Visit (HHV), a licensed Signify clinician will come to your home to help with your overall health needs. They’ll answer your health questions and share a summary of the visit with your primary care provider (PCP) to keep them in the loop. This gives you an extra opportunity to get the care you need.

Call 1-855-746-8709 (TTY: 711) from 9 AM to 8 PM ET, Monday through Friday, to book your visit today.

5. Covered screenings and vaccines

Aetna members have many covered screenings and vaccinations that are needed for better health, for example diabetes, breast cancer, and depression screenings. Make sure you schedule these important appointments if you haven’t already.

  • Vaccines. It’s never too late to get your flu shot, COVID booster, or Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) immunization. These covered vaccines are key for keeping illness away, especially when the weather turns colder.

  • Mammogram. Your health plan covers mammograms. The American Cancer Society recommends women getting a mammogram every one to two years starting at age 45.*

  • Colonoscopy. Covered screenings include colonoscopy and at home testing kits. The American Cancer Society recommends getting a colonoscopy every 5 to 10 years starting at age 45.* These important screenings are covered by your Aetna Medicare Advantage plan.

  • Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test. In men, a PSA is a protein made by prostate cells. A PSA test can help catch prostate cancer. Your PCP may tell you to get tested every year, two years or more.

6. Health supplies

As an Aetna Medicare Advantage member, you get a 20 percent discount on thousands of select health and wellness CVS Health® brand products  — both in store and online.

To learn more, log in to your secure member website at AetnaMedicare.com/Login. Select “Living Well” and scroll down to the section titled “Wellness Savings for You.” Here you can read how to use your online promo code or print your in-store coupon to activate savings. (You can’t combine the 20 percent CVS discount with any other benefits you receive as part of your Medicare Advantage plan.)

Save a trip to the pharmacy

You can order up to a 100-day supply of certain medicines and have it shipped right to you through our mail-order service. Log in to your member website at AetnaMedicare.com/Login to learn more.

7. In-network pharmacies

With most Aetna plans, we’ll only cover your prescription drugs if you use an in-network pharmacy. Many plans include standard and preferred pharmacies. Both are in-network, but you may be able to fill your prescriptions for less at preferred pharmacies. That’s because they may offer a lower copay. Some of the preferred pharmacies that are available through your Aetna Medicare Advantage plan include Costco, CVS, Kroger and Walmart.

8. Telehealth visits

Telehealth visits with your doctors or therapist can benefit you in so many ways. You’ll get to talk about your physical or mental health from the comfort of your own home. Plus, if your doctor does covered telehealth visits, the cost is the same as an office visit.

Not sure when to use telehealth? Telehealth visits are best for follow-up visits with your doctor, exams of easy-to-see areas like your eyes or skin, prescription refills, and mental health services.
